Kastle Kaestle Skis

Since 1924

At Kästle, we are dedicated to crafting exceptional sport equipment that embodies the spirit of adventure, empower athletes to reach new heights, and inspire a lifelong love for mountain sports. A passion for skiing is deeply rooted in the company's DNA and will sustain our main source of motivation.

Kästle creates unique skis for any condition using proven technologies inspired by racing, utilizing only the finest raw materials. Sophisticated constructions and patented technologies developed in Austria create new benchmarks in performance standards.

The company’s headquarters are located where it all began: in the time-honored production facility in Hohenems, Austria. Today, it is considered more of a design lab, which has become the heart of the R&D Department and the Alpine Race Department, and where brilliant minds create innovations and further developments year after year with the goal of continuing the success story.

Striving for innovation. Love for technology. Unbroken pioneering spirit.

Born in Austria, Kästle and its products stand for performance, quality and durability. At the production site in the Czech winter sports and mountain biking Mecca Nové Město na Moravě, massive investments have therefore been made in state-of-the-art facilities to meet the high demands placed on the production of a Kästle ski.

Courageous pioneering spirit by Anton Kästle, the founder of Kästle, started the KÄSTLE story back in 1924 and it is exactly this spirit that still characterizes the brand, the team today and inspires everyone to continue the story. The result is innovative products for passionate winter sports enthusiasts who believe as little in limits as we do.

Hohenems, Austria is still the company‘s headquarters today—in 2024. Kästle is a company that has gone through ups and downs over the past century. From being celebrated as the market leader and serial winner on the World Cup to the brand temporarily disappearing, we have experienced it all. Revolutionary innovations such as CPM (Compound-Plastic-Metal), which continues to have a lasting influence on ski construction today, represent the brand‘s pioneering spirit, which has always remained unbroken regardless of ownership. Kästle’s leadership has always focused on the idea of ski racing, partnering with world class athletes and celebrating unforgettable moments. At the end of the 1960s, Josef Fischer and Selma Sturmberger took over the Vorarlberg ski company and, after many successful years, sold the world-renowned brand to the Italian Benetton Group in 1991. Benetton Sportsystems owned numerous sports brands and, at its peak, up to 400,000 pairs of skis were built at the Vorarlberg location and sold worldwide. While this figure can no longer be used for comparison given today’s much smaller but more quality-oriented ski market, it is nonetheless an impressive statistic.

Today, over 100 years after Anton Kästle made his first ski, the brand belongs to the ConsilTechgroup of companies, has two of its own production facilities in Hohenems and in NovéMěsto na Moravě in the Czech Republic and produces a total of 200,000 pairs of alpine and cross-country skis. The pioneering spirit—then as now—and the passion for skiing motivate us every day to build the best skis for their respective uses and the fastest skis for World Cup medals and podiums to add to our collection of unforgettable moments. Be it in deep snow, on freshly groomed slopes or on the icy courses of the World Cup, we can‘t get enough of this.

Fast as ever.

The year is 1924. The first Winter Olympics are taking place in Chamonix and Anton Kästle is making his first pair of skis in his wainwright workshop. Driven by a pioneering spirit and desire for innovation, he created a sports brand under his name that would develop a global reputation for quality, performance and innovation over the next 100 years. For decades, Kästle set the benchmark in alpine ski racing with an unrivaled performance record and became the brand of choice for the discerning skier. It is this original passion for skiing, that still drives us to this day, to improve upon what has been tried and tested and to continue to push boundaries and dare to try new things.

Since 2019, when we celebrated our come back in World Cup racing,"fast as ever"has become the new slogan of the company. It stands for the companies transformation to become a leading player on the global ski market with a first class racing program at it's core again. World champs and olympic gold medallists such as Ester Ledecká, Ilka Štuhec or Jasmine Flury continue the legacy, that has been created years ago by legends like Toni Sailer and Pirmin Zurbriggen.
